Book Mail: April 13, 2026
This is a full stack of publisher mail and ARCs I’ve been really excited about, and for once, nothing here feels random. Every book has a hook that made me stop and go wait… I need that.
I filmed a full unboxing (embedded above 👆), but here’s the quick breakdown:
🐙 The Most Important Part
Contemporary Fiction | Out 4/14 | Gifted by author
An indie gem from my friend Sherry, and one I didn’t even think twice about picking up.
Why it stands out: I already trust her voice, and I love supporting indie stories that bring both humor and heart.
💀 Hopeless Necromantic
Fantasy romance | Out 6/2 | Gifted by Orbit
A skeleton sidekick. Say less.
Why I’m excited: this feels like it’s going to be banter-heavy, chaotic, and genuinely fun.
💥 Broken Rival
Romance | Out 10/ Gifted by Avon
The new Tessa Bailey… and yes, this one has been under wraps. I can't even show the cover here so check out my video for the full reveal! 👀
Love triangle + time travel is not something I see often in romance, so I’m very curious how this plays out.
👑 A Founding Mother
Historical fiction | Out 5/5 | Gifted by William Morrow
Abigail Adams was the wife to one president and the mother to another… which honestly makes her story feel long overdue.
Why I’m intrigued: this feels like a perfect read going into the country’s 250th anniversary.
🍷 The Supper Club Saints
Contemporary fiction | Out 5/5 | Gifted by Avon
A woman escaping from a mommune. Another that is reeling from a divorce. Both women seeking refuge in their small-town childhood home.
Why I’m curious: unconventional living setups + group dynamics usually mean chaos in the best way.
📜 The Lost Book of Elizabeth Barton
Historical mystery | Out 4/14 | Gifted by St. Martin’s Press
Dual timelines, a murder mystery, and historical fiction all layered together.
Why I’m intrigued: I love when timelines intersect and slowly reveal the full story.
🐍 A House of Vipers
YA Mystery | Out 4/28 | Gifted by Delacorte Press
Buried treasure, secret societies, and a dark academia setting.
Why I’m curious: this feels like it could lean very atmospheric with some solid twists.
🔥 Between Two Fires
Historical horror | Out now!| Gifted by TOR Nightfire
This has been on my radar for a while, and I’ve heard nothing but intense reactions.
Why I’m excited: medieval horror that people say is deeply unsettling is exactly my kind of read.
🎓 The Eights
Literary fiction | Out now! | Gifted by Putnam
Following the first women admitted to Oxford after WWI, and I already want to know everything about them.
Why I’m intrigued: stories about women stepping into spaces they weren’t meant to be in always pull me in.
💬 Let’s Talk
Which of these would you pick up first?
